Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of the personal data you have shared with Shopiyz, how your request is handled, and which records we must keep to meet legal obligations.

About This Page

This page describes how to request deletion of personal data processed through the Shopiyz website and your Shopiyz account.

The right to erasure is granted by Articles 7 and 11 of Turkey's KVKK and Article 17 of the GDPR (the "right to be forgotten"). This page explains how to exercise those rights; it does not limit them.

For data obtained through the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) integration, see section 04.

Definitions

Personal data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Deletion: Rendering data permanently inaccessible and unusable for all relevant users.
Anonymisation: Rendering data impossible to link to an identified person, even when combined with other data.
Data subject: The natural person whose personal data is processed, that is, you.

Who Can Request Deletion

Anyone whose personal data we process may request deletion. The request can be submitted by the data subject or by a representative holding a duly issued power of attorney.

Visitors who submitted data through website forms
People who requested a demo, a callback or a price quote
Representatives acting on their behalf under a power of attorney

What Gets Deleted

On request, we delete or anonymise all personal data that can be linked to you and for which no valid legal basis for retention remains.

Contact, demo, callback and quote form records
Account profile details (name, email, phone)
Correspondence and support records
Marketing consents and newsletter subscriptions
Access tokens for connected third-party accounts

How to Submit a Request

You can submit your request through any of the channels below. Please write from the email address registered to your account so that we can verify your identity.

Why We Verify Identity

We must confirm who is making the request so that nobody can have someone else's account deleted. If identity cannot be verified, the request cannot be completed; this exists to protect your data.

Data Linked to Meta (Facebook/Instagram)

If you connected Shopiyz to your Meta account (ad account, page or catalogue), we store the access tokens and account identifiers obtained through that connection.

Ways to Delete This Data

Remove the integration in your Shopiyz panel; access tokens are deleted when the connection is severed
In Facebook, go to Settings > Apps and Websites and remove the Shopiyz app
Email kvkk@shopiyz.com requesting deletion of data related to the Meta connection

When you remove the app from Facebook, Meta forwards the deletion request to us and the related records are deleted. We confirm completion by email.

Process and Timelines

Once your request reaches us we verify your identity, determine the scope of deletion and carry it out. The outcome is confirmed to you in writing.

Data We Cannot Delete

Some records must be retained for a set period despite your request, because the law requires it. Such data is kept solely to meet that obligation and is never used for marketing or profiling.

Invoices and accounting records are kept for 5 years under the Turkish Tax Procedure Law, and commercial books and documents for 10 years under the Turkish Commercial Code. Once those periods expire, the records are deleted or anonymised.
